So, nine years ago today, I had one of those life changing experiences.  During my first solo skydive, the winds changed in mid-jump, almost tripled in speed, and I had a partial parachute collapse.  I hit the ground, hard. Goodness.

You should write scripts for TV shows... that was so descriptive that I felt myself cringing with that weird feeling..... grossness.

Strangely enough, I actually have a friend down in Melbourne who had a similar thing happen to him. I think he was on a tandem jump though, and I'm not too sure what caused the problem, but he also broke his foot.

But I've never heard him describe it so... graphically! 😳

There's actually a very handsome gay guy here in Australia, who has a YouTube channel (which is very funny), who had a complete failure during a skydive. He landed with NO parachute - and survived. ( https://www.youtube.com/user/bradguytv )

Of course, he suffers from MAJOR PTSD and all the accompanying visions of near death.... the poor bugger!
