Wild is the wind

Wild is the wind that takes me away from you,
Cold is the night without your love to see me through,
Wild is the wind that blows through my heart tonight,
That tears us apart.

Thank GOD Dean is not in this. really. If I have to see one more 'how awesome is Dean?' bullshit fic, i will kill someone.

So thank you for letting us focus on the other charters for a few minutes. Because they do exist too. And have emotions. and have to deal with crap.

It feels so...fresh to see just *John* - as a person, not defined by the hunting or the boys...but just as a man who is grieving.

Thank you.

What can I say... Not much, really. I can't even begin to imagine what he went through during those days, I don't think Dean... or the boys were on his mind much, I think it would have been too painful to look at them and see Mary in them. Or remember that Mary will never see them grow up or Sam take his first steps. Or speak his first word...

Anyway, John as a person, that's what I was going for with this, I'm really, REALLY glad that you can enjoy it, it means a lot to me! *hugs*

yeah...a death like that, with as many questions... john;s whole world view would have crumbled. everything he though he knew about reality went up in smoke, literally...and took his one true love with it.

The boys...just looking at them would have killed him for awhile. because, yeah, after you loose someone, for awhile it ...all you can think is 'what if' and 'they will never' and it can make you half crazy from the ache of it. And I'm sure he did take care of the boys... and hugged them and cared for them...but he was also drinking, and learning from Missouri, and selling his half of the business and dealing with the house, and the cops and the fire department, and contacting Mary's family. what was left of it.

And his grief. He was busy with that.

so, yeah...it is heart-wrenching. and this is a perfect example of an adult, lost in ...what he's lost.

Dude, you're doing it again, you're getting me all thinky... Seems like I'm stuck on pre-series-grieving-John now, whatever I'll come up with next is gonna be YOUR fault! :D

I actually find the idea of John reacting to the supernatural like any non-hunter very fascinating. Thank you!
