"Dean, the only reason I would do something like that… to me… to us… would be if doing it would save you."
That line literally made me tear up. no lie.
its like FINALLY someone gets it. Yes, was Sam did was wrong, so fucking wrong on so many levels, but the reason for it, his intent, was good. he did it for Dean. those boys would do absolutely anything for eachother, with no second thoughts about it.

this was heart breaking and beautiful and amazing.
The look on Dean's face during Sam's seizure was just...there are no words. one look at his face and anyone could see all the emotions he was feeling; the panic, terror, sadness, everything.

fantastic fic, it was so IC, it's rediculous ♥♥♥
great job bb
*hugs*

Everything Sam does he does it for Dean and vice versa. Both of them do the wrong things for all the right reasons and I really hope they finally realize just how much they are willing to sacrifice for each other. But, knowing the writers, they probably won't and that's where fanfiction enters the picture.

That story was as heartbreaking to write as it is to read, when I realized I was going to write a younger Sam in that story I had to put it away for some time 'cause it kinda hurt, a lot.

I always thought the look on Dean's face in that scene said so much more than most people thought it would and I am SO glad I got this chance to speculate about it.

Thank you for your kind words! *hugs back* :)

-- Sam always brings coffee first thing in the morning and then usually falls asleep as soon as they hit the road --

For some reason, the humor and affectionate intimacy of this line hit me hard.

This was a lovely idea for a story, and you executed it well. Sad and poignant... I really hope Dean comes to see this as truth in Season 5. Thank you.

In that story coffee is to Sam what Cola is to me, I drink that stuff and feel fine and awake for about 20 minutes and then I go down hard, could fall asleep almost instantly. I'm glad you liked that little sentence.

And I do hope Dean will finally realize what Sam was really trying to do...

Thanks!

Just perfect, just what the ep needed, and just what Dean needed to hear!

I wish they would cast some writers from the fanfiction-world for the show, there are SO MANY stories out there, so many great snippets which should have been in the episodes...

Thank you!

UGH. And isn't that the doggone truth? I just wish Dean could have seen it on the show, and long before they got to this point. A brilliant moment in time, captures here, making Dean see everyting--mostly the brother he KNOWS in the man he thinks he doesn't.

My favorite snippet is Sam slee sleeping on the car. TOO cute! :)

The flashback with Sam on the Impala was the first one that popped up while I was thinking about what to write and at first I thought it could be just a little too funny for the setting. But it worked and I'm happy about that.

I believe Dean knows, somewhere deep... DEEP down inside of him that they have both changed but they are BOTH what they've always been to each other, big and little brother, I just hope they get a chance to realize that next season.

Thanks!

Hun, are you trying to kill me? Really? 'cos this? This pretty much did.

Just... wow. So much pain, and softness, and injury. And when Dean apologizes, and Sam just shakes his head cos he *knows* Dean would never hurt him or abandon him... but Dean knows he has...*Sob*

What can I say? the flashbacks were awesome, the writing was fantastic, and the last line was heartbreaking. This should have been in the episode.

I am *NOT* trying to kill my readers... Get them crying their eyes out, maybe, but not trying to kill!! ;)

As hard as it is at some parts to read it was even harder to write it sometimes, had to take a break at some places...

I'm so glad you liked the flashbacks, I had so much fun writing them!
