Oh my, the sound I made as I read the description, I think we can all agree Long November is a bit of a legend in this fandom.

I loved how way you played with Francis' insecurities and hopes and the final meeting was very natural in my eyes, I think you caught the atmosphere and the message of the original doujinshi perfectly.

Long November is one of my favorite doujins, ever, and I remember reading it for the first time and getting to the end and going, WHAT, WHAT, DOES IT END RIGHT HERE, NO THAT CAN'T BE

I know right? The ending is torture!!! I think it's almost a rite of passage in the fandom to read, get one's heart broken, and then make up one's own sequel for it, if only in one's head. :P

YOU ARE STIRRING UP TOO MUCH EMOTION IN ME

This kind of beautifulamazinggutwrenchinglyromantic fandom response always makes me wish that Gusari had continued, or done a sequel--whether that would've been a good idea or not. Still waiting on my copy of Shiki to arrive to compliment Long November so I can cry like the hopeless romantic I am.

There's a sweet kind of nostalgia that lingers from passage to passage, and Arthur's reaction at the end triggered a similar reaction from me. Oh, if only Gusari wasn't so bittersweet with their FrUK (what little of it they do)...

Oh, that was PERFECT!! I just read the doujinshi a few days ago, and I'd wondered if there was a sequel or if I would need to write something myself to satisfy my need for more of this 'verse. I absolutely love your rendition, and as far as I'm concerned, this is the official ending. Beautiful, poignant, and sweet--I particularly loved Francis's apprehension and doubts, despite being Monsieur Confident World Traveller. Thanks for writing it!
