*HUG* Mikke, you have been pining for Illinois ever since you first moved to Virginia. Have you tried looking for a job back here so you'd feel more at home? Even if it paid less than you're making right now, it'd be worth it for your personal happiness.
Of course you know how I feel about the whole Chris subject. I met Chris not because I'm here in IL, I met him because I took the time to get to know people here on LJ and read their posts. I would never have met him on my own in real life, and even if I had, I wouldn't have known that he was a Mac geek with so many of the same interests as I do. There are great people out there, Mikke. Reaching out to find them is the best thing you could ever do. *hug again*
And you should post more about RandomCharacter; I may not understand it all, but I think it'd be interesting. :)
