Whatever happened to just downloading an installer?
Okay, so I download and install a downloader, which downloads and installs a launcher, which downloads and installs an installer which downloads and installs the game... which is where I am right now. When the game is installed, it will apparently start downloading and installing the core contents. The other contents will apparently download as ( Read more... ) -
Plastic crack!
Been working on my WH40K doods. When the weather gets better, I'll get to painting them, too. My first battle was 500 points of orks against 500 points of spacemarines. The orks didn't get within charging distance before they were totally shot to bits. Huzzah for 6+ armorsaves...

Commando gender scientists
Sometimes you read things in the paper that just blow you away. I recently read in a newspaper that the earthquake disaster in Haiti created an acute need for gender scientists in the area. Fortunately, we were able to deploy a team within days.

Rock, paper, fail
The "Age of"-series of games are a good example of everything that is bad with the rock-paper-scissors system of balancing units in computer games. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it's meant to be a lazy person's way of ensuring that the player needs a mix of units in an army. Toothbrush style
I have been discussing style with some of my friends and, while visiting a friend and staying overnight, got some impromptu style advice regarding my toiletries. Apparently I should change my toothbrush because it's "below my class", and my dressing-case is inappropriate to my station. Two squads finished!
Now I've finished two squads of models, one for each of my armies. On display below is a tactical squad of space marines. They haven't been painted yet, or even glued, which is why they're stuck to their bases with tack.
