So, I'm of two minds about flashbacks. 1) I *love* the glimpses back into the past, especially when they're created by the author herself. But 2) they're so frustrating! I want ALL of it, not just snip-its! But, of course, that's why we all use them: they manipulate the reader, ratcheting up the tension by switching back and forth at just the right time. And, man, is my tension ratcheted! I can't wait to see what Finn's all hush-hush about, and why they broke up (I'm seeing a major flashback during the song "On My Own"?), and their eventual reconciliation. *hinthint*

And yay for a multi-chapter fic! Can't wait for the next chapter!
