This week is Canadian produced 'The Wild Hunt'. It's been sitting in my "to post" list for a while now. I'll quote IMDB on this one: "A medieval reenactment game (LARP essentialy) turns into a Shakespearean tragedy when a non-player crashes the event to win back his girlfriend". It seems quite dark, but with an underlying humour.

It's back! Now I'm a bit more settled at work it's time to start posting interesting trailers again and getting through my backlog. Although over a year old now Swedish film 'Metropia' hade a very limited release (mainly festivals). Set in a visually striking distopian future it reminds me slighty of 'Renaissance'.

So from a killer Santa last week to ninjas this week. 'The Warrior's Way' look thoroughly entertaining and features the best line of dialouge in a trailer you'll hear all year. It's a fairly simple ultimate assassin defies and order and then whole army tries to kill him type deal, but with added cowboys and a slight steampunk feel.

Ok, so it's a bit early, but we all have to start thinking about killer Santa movies at some point. Dutch action/horror film 'Sint' seems to fit the bill. Apparently based on the legend that Saint Nicholas was actually a monster of a human being who tries to kill children every time there's a full moon on December 5th. Look like great fun.

Ok, so something a bit silly this week (and current). 'Priest' seems like a mash up betweem Judge Dread, Mad Max and Equilibrium. As with a lot of these types of films it looks like it could be a whole lot of fun or complete crap. We shall see.

Well I completley missed hearing about this one, so you can thank ninjagirl for the heads up. I think it's pretty self explanatory from the title, but what you really need to know is it's Rutger Hauer being a hobo, with a shotgun, kicking ass with lots splatter.

Finally an official trailer for the excellent looking 'Monsters'. Being billed as this year 'District 9' mainly down to it's lo-fi visual look and budget. The trailer gives pretty nothing much away, but more than enough for me to get excited.
