Na, youre friendship is ALWAYS appreciated, you know that.

The bad mood stems from one minute sitting down talking to a friend and my girl, then next minute I need to have a 'serious chat' over the amount of noise I make when prepairing my packed lunch and my girl gets dragged away from talking to me prematurely.

But Im not moaning...get on with things! Thats what I always say.

And now, Im getting on for bed.

BAh, parents! Hopefully you will get a job soon and can move out! (and me!) :p

And how can you make lots of noise preparing lunch? Like did you make turkey sandwiches and actually murder the turkey in their kitchen? I mean that I could understand - who'd want all that blood spurting everywhere and agonised dying shrieks of the turkey as you shove a knife in it's throat! :o Jeez.

Well, not that it's any consolation but... if you think you're chat with the parentals wasn't too fun, I can honestly say I have you beat. Urrrrrg. Luckilly, my dad seems to be as confuzzled by my mom's hatred of all things living right now as I am, so we had a good "letting off some steam" walk last night. This morning, I got up to fix mom buttermilk pancakes before she went back to school (even though I didn't have to be up for work for another 2 hours). Unfortunately, Jimmy called before I was done making them and begged that I come in that instant, since Sonya had overslept and wasn't answering her phone. Instead of thanking me for attempting pankies or even registering in her head that I was going to go until 3 without food, my mom just sighed heavilly, "Oh, so I'm not getting pancakes now." WTF?!?! I made her cranberry almond scones, I made her dinner, I set the table (complete with flowers and candles too!), and I attempted to make her pancakes this morning. Unfortunately though, it seems that, unlike me, the way to her heart ( ... )

Pfft, I can beat that.

I just got my degree results the day before yesterday. I got a 2:2 which I was expecting, but I was only 3% off a 2:1, so I wasnt expecting to do quite so well.

Bearing in mind when my brother got his degree results which was the same overall grade as me, but a considerably lower percent, my dad made a massive fuss out of it and we went out for a big meal. My mam and dad were so proud of him.

Ive spent the same 3 years working just as hard and suffering just as much to get my degree. They didnt even remember to ask me what my results were until today, two days after I got them.

The results were greeted by my dad with:

Well, if youd have done a better dissertation, youd have gotten a 2:1.

And by my mam with: Oh well, thats not bad...

I know its not bad, only 5-10% of the population even GET degrees at all, and mine isnt a bad one at all on a fairly prestigeous course. No, no meal for me.

And btw, check your PMs at coe when you get chance.
