There's some literature I need to read for work, but I'm fighting off a cold or something, so I can't concentrate. Instead, I'm wasting time, but I'll try to be brief
1. True Blood - I keep watching it and have seen every episode. And I'm still not sure I actually like it. The only character I can truly say I like is Lafayette, but he still sort of 2-dimensional. If it weren't for Alan Ball, I'd probably have given up on it already.
2. Dexter - I still find Deb a little irritating and can't decide if it's the actor or the writing, but I love everything else about the show. I'm a little nervous about where things are going with Rita and Dexter's new BFF, but I hope it turns out okay.
3. Heroes - I can't say this blurring (and, in some cases, obliteration) of the line between villain and hero is working for me. Maybe because it's happening to so many different characters at the same time. Feels forced, rather than organic to the story. But worse than that, I find this season sort of boring.
4. Fringe - Yes, it bears a lot of similarities to X-Files. But I really like the chacters and the acting and find it interesting in a way.
5. Pushing Daisies - Funny, charming and inventive, as always. I adore this show.
6. Friday Night Lights - It feels different, but I can't pinpoint why. I don't feel as connected to the characters. And it's a little weird not watching it on Friday nights, though I am glad DirecTV is airing it early.
7. CSI - *sigh* Poor Warrick. I really wish they had written a different ending for him. The implications about his feelings towards Grissom really touched me, though. I admit I got teary. And it was awesome having Sara back, though her departure seemed so final. :-(
8. Supernatural - Castiel... I just love everything about him so much. The wing shadows and the awesomeness of his true presence, his whispered "you should show a little respect". Even the chapped lips do not deter me. And Mary and her family? Awesome. The black and white horror episode (and Dracula with a coupon) just as awesome. Bobby, Lilith, et cetera. I've gott nothing but love for this show.
9. Stargate Atlantis - I'm going to stick it out because I love Ronon that much, but a clip show? Seriously? I've never seen a clip show that didn't feel like a waste of time. Someone referred to "Letters from Pegasus" as a clip show. I honestly don't recall that one having flashbacks. If it did, then I guess that was the one clip show I thought was good. The only show where I would be willing to watch a clip show because I think they might pull it off without being stale as month old bread is Pushing Daisies. And even then, I'd be cautious.
To sum up: Loving Pushing Daisies, Supernatural, Dexter. I like Fringe., FNL and CSI. I'll stick with SGA until the better end. I'm this close to giving up on True Blood and maybe Heroes.
