LEEDS FESTIVAL = TOP NOTCH YET AGAIN! FULL-Ish REVEIW UNDER CUT.
THURSDAY
OKAY! Weekend started with an uber long drive up thar, stuck in queues of lots and lots and lots and cars, (ho ho ho) On the way there, full of people all like 'OH WOW FESTIVALS *drive*' We finally got there tho, and thats when
THE PARTEY STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
FRIDAY
First day was pretty fucking amazing, we woke up after a lovely sleep in the tent, and headed on down to the MAIN ARENA, the walk kills, but it seems alright on the way there, its just on the way back, afetr standing up for about 12hours constantly! XD
we got to the main stage, when Taking back sunday was on, but we don't really like them, we were waiting for the next band who was, LESS THAN JAKE! that totally ROCKED, We was in the main D bit, right at the front, and was in a thrash pit! Rocka and rowl or what, they were really fun, there was one bit we all had to sit down, then jump up in a mexican wave style! It was well good! XD
Then we headed on down to Goldie looking chain, Who was comedy genius-es as usual, shouting 'YOUR MOTHERS GOT A PENIUS' at the top of your voice, with a forcefull pointing your hand in the air dance, is ALWAYS satifying.
We then went to the signing tent, line while listening to Broken social scene in the background, We got signitures of The Rakes!!! Which was totally awesome, then queued to get signitures of....MAXIMO PARK!! HOMG THEY ARE AMAZING!! Paul done comedy dots on my signign thing and then was like, 'I don't no what that was about..' LOL! Bless! We then was stood near the queue thing, and they gave us cheeky grins every now and then.
Then we went into the NME tent, to watch the Kooks. I'm not really into them ,but we wanted to be at the front for The Rakes, and Maximo park. After the kooks we just went ''VROOM!'' right to the front barrier, and proper danced to The Rakes, then Maximo came on, and I was PROPER BUZZING! I maneged to stay right on the front barrier, and THE LEAD SINGER (Paul) POINTED AT MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And so did the keyboardist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AANNNNDDD during on of the 'AAAAA' bits in the song, me and the keysboardest were looking at each other going 'Aaaaa' while shaking our heads side to side, then giggled at each other! it was proper ace! I had a cheeky giggle with the keyboardist!!! *buzzes*
They were the headlining band of the night, so no one else was on, and we moseyed on back to the tent, and the walk killed, D: we probally got back about midnight, and then gave it some snoozes, after grabbing somehting to munch.
SATURDAY
First we went to watch Panic! At the Disco, we missed about 10 mins of there, set which I was a bit gutted about, cause they're one of my favorite bands. They were brilliant! So talented! and they covered Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins! XD But yeah, I love 'em to peices, they're so talented.
At the reading festival though, some knobcheese threw a bottle at the lead singer (Brendon)and knocked him out! But every one loved them at Leeds, cause the leeds festival is more friendly. So when Fall out boy played, they did a tribute to him, where the left side of the audience, and to throw any bottles, Ect to the right side, and vice versa. When they did, it was like a cloud of bottles filled the air, it was totally covered. IT was real nice of Fall Out Boy to do. (We don't really like Fall Out Boy, but we wanted to get on the front barrier) We saw the Subways, after. They rocked, the girl totally rocks out! We then saw Belle and Sebastian. They were pretty cool, and their crowd interaction was genius. They got a girl up onstage, to dance with them, and went down into the audience, to get a random person to put masacra on him! It was comedy! XD After them was the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, do I really need to say how amazing they was? They were Fucking amazing! XD KAren O's outfits are THE BEST! and they totally rocked out, (as did we) Then it was Kaiser Cheifs! FUCKING BRILLIANT!!! There set rocked, and so did our dancing! We were still on the front barrier at this point, and was for the rest of the day! FULL DAY ON THE BARRIER? SCORE! XD. We were proper screaming, and singing along to all there songs, It was goooood! Then was Franz Ferdinand! TOTALLY GOOD! They were really awosome, and we porper danced/singed/screamed to them aswell, Was a top night! XD
SUNDAY
FINAL NIGHT :(
We saw floggng Molly, Then got to the front barrier for the rest of the bands. Wolfmother who were ace, they really rocked! Daisy saw Chris from Muse, watching from the guest stand!! :O! after wolf mother was The Cribs, then the Futureheads. The futureheads, made the crowd split to each side, and one side had to sing one part of the harmoney, and the other side sung the otehr part, for 'Hounds of Loving' that was awesome! Then Dirty Pretty things were on, The crowd went a bit mental, but it was well fun! then it was Feeder.
Oh man, I'm not kidding, We got CRUSHED by crowed surfers! Totally jumping away at the barrier, but it got well to hectic, on the last song, we were falling over, cause of the crowd surfers. Usually the crowd surfers are fun, but like 10 big fat men all came at once, and I was like 'HO MY GOD I CANT LIFT ALL OF THEM!!' It was mental, so we decided to go back a bit, form the barrier for Muse and Arctic monkeys, cause they would be 1932X's worse, at the frong, and we decided beign a bit further back, where we can dance and see the band, and not get crushed, would be more fun.
Pause a minute, I can smell playdough?
Okay, next was the Streets, they were pretty cool, and funny. They came on stage going' WE ARE MUSE!!!' and played a few songs, and was like ' SO yeah, We are the Arctic Monkeys' and kept on changing there names, it was proper funny. They also kept singing bits form other bands, like arctic monkeys, but singing
' I bet that you look good in the dance tent!' (and points at the dance tent) and a rainbow appeared, and he done a 'The Automatic' rip by going 'Whats that comming over the hill is it a rainbow!' It was well good. Then was the Arctic Monkeys, We had a mini thrash pit to them! XD and proper sung along, he crowd was MASSIVE.
Then finally MUSE.

They had PLENTY OF LAZERs, and it was so powerfull and amazing, it was like a totall dream, I felt like I was totally off my head on drugs. just as they came on, it started pissing down with rain, which added to the whole amazing ness of it, it was so dramatic, and emence, SERIOSLY, WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THE WONDERMENT OF THE OCCATION, I was dancing like some CRAZY LAYDEY! and screaming/ signing my head off. IT WAS BLAGGING MY HEAD, proper with my hands in the air, singing up to the sky, with rain falling downand the most powerfull guitar riffs playing. It feltliek, the end of the world or something, it was that powerfull/that amazing I FELT TOTALLY OFF MY HEAD! IT DID NOT SEEM REAL! Ho man, You so had to be there to experience it, Flags waving every where, hands all in the sky, Fucking powerfull shit man.
So thats a very summerised version of the festival, 'Summirised?' I hear you say, LOL! There was so much more. Was so lucky, it was dry all weekend though, It only rained, when Muse was on, and everything just turned to mud. XD But where Muse was just that amazing, the rain didn't matter!
