Well looks like my life as a military wife ended before it even began. As soon as he's actually home/in my arms, I'll be leaving the group. He's being discharged as soon as they get his medical records due to MAJOR health problems. I'm not going to go into the details but he should be home shortly after the first of the year. Thank you all for your ( Read more... )

That's absolutely fine. :) I've enjoyed chatting with you. My LJ isn't exactly active (I'm more on for communities lately) but I'm trying to start that up. Right now all my writing goes toward letters though!

Oh I'm so sorry!

The same thing happened to me, my fiance was discharged 2 weeks before his graduation because he had tendinitis in his feet. They thought it was shin splints and had him on a healing waiver until they checked on it before his huge PR test. They sent him back to the hospital, figured out it was tendinitis and discharged him right there. This was AFTER I had sent in all the wedding payments and everything. It was heartbreaking for the both of us.

Its a crappy feeling but everything happens for a reason and maybe right now just wasnt the time. If you ever need to talk, dont hesitate to contact me =)

I'm just glad this was early. I would have hated to get almost done with this seperation and then have it all be for nothing. Now, I just want him home. Our wedding plans are definitely changing (no possible way can we afford a 40 dollar a head 150 person reception now!) but we have no clue to what yet. Thanks for the offer. If I need to talk, I'll comment on your LJ or send a PM or whatnot. And congratulations on the wedding. :)
