"Annie," says Abed with a slight frown, "I'm not sure this is a good idea."
She shakes her head. "I can't live with not knowing."
Abed and Troy exchange a quick glance, but Troy looks back at her first, straightening his shoulders, her faithful soldier. Abed strums his fingers on the battered wooden table once, twice, but when he finally looks up at her his gaze is steady and unblinking.
"We're in," he says.

Ooh, I'm so glad you liked it! I love how you describe it as Annie's ruthlessness in trying to do this, because it is so true... one of the things I find fascinating about her character is the dark side to her determination and ambition. I'm not sure I have a clear picture what would happen after this story, but I would love to write more here if I did. <3
