I view the films as very fancy, at times painful, fanfic. I love the art direction and soundtracks, though. It's a bit like getting a root canal with golden instruments. Painful, but then again... shiny.

But, ye gods, those speeches. JKR is my hero, and I am truly beyond that age where everyone from the inventor of the McFlurry to Avril Lavigne qualifies as "hero" (I do have your back, though, McFlurry guy!). But that woman. I have been known to make people in my immediate circle watch her Harvard commencement speech to make them see the light.
What a freakin' class act.
