❀CHARACTER SURVEY.
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Viktor is tall (5'11) and lanky. He's not very strong but is fit enough for the work he does.
2. How old is he? He's 19 years old.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? He has terrible posture for slouching or leaning down to tend to plants all the time. His shoulders are normally hunched when he's nervous (re: most of the time) which doesn't help much. He straightens up when startled or trying to impress someone though.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Normal. He's healthy but doesn't have any incredible physical traits and can't run very far since he's not too active aside from working with his plants.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Quickly and quietly. His movements are normally tense or nervous around others, but he's very fluid around plants or when he's completely comfortable with someone (re: not often).
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? All-around he's very average. He has a pretty face and eyes, but he doesn't think he's too great-looking.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Light, slightly tan when he's been outside tending to plants.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Black hair, soft, cut neatly - not too long, not to short. Enough that it doesn't get in his way when he gardens.
9. What color are his eyes? Grey-violet.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? He's usually in his gardening clothes, so he's covered in grass stains and dirt usually. He doesn't mind it.
11. What are his chief tension centers? I don't quiet understand what this means so; basically when Viktor is nervous he's constantly fiddling with his hands; his shirt; some flowers; or whatever is in his hands. When he babbles/is scared or nervous he's staring hard at the ground and can get very bad headaches depending on what exactly he's being forced to say due to embarrassment or shock.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Casual and comfy. Comfy pants, button-up, light shirts. He doesn't have a wardrobe other than his work clothes. Natural colours, simple patterns...he's pretty boring.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? They fit well and he looks good, if not plain, in them. He's always comfortable in his clothes.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? Always the same. sob.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Boxers.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Quiet, timid, and very boyish. He sounds younger than he is.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? Viktor almost always speaks very softly, even more so when his powers force his thoughts out. He hesitates a lot and stumbles over his words and speaks slowly with a lot of hesitations. When his words are forced out he still stutters and hesitates but his words come much quicker.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Hesitating. All the time. Stuttering. All the time.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? He knows a little bit of Swedish from his family.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope. Even if someone was speaking to him in Swedish he'd reply in English.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? Horrible. He needs to think but unfortunately his powers force out what he thinks right away if he refuses to say it for too long.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Inarticulate. This would only change if he was thinking something particularly flowery - which would only happen if he really likes/loves someone.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Book-smart. All the way. He knows his basic high-school level stuff, and has an extensive knowledge of all things plant-related.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? Time to deliberate. The poor boy is a little slow reaction-wise. Or just spends too long wigging out before thinking straight.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Intuitive. Most of how he reacts is on how he feels, since he doesn't have much experience with others at all. He tends to be very practical when it comes to assuming things about others as well.
4. What kind of education has the character had? Graduated high school. Taught everything about plants and gardening from his grandmother.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Plants oh my god all the plants ever.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? INTROVERT. His power forces him to be more open and it makes him extremely uncomfortable.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? Even-tempered, and is usually very shy, but cheerful. He tries to be optimistic as best he can.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Completely timid. Most first meetings with people are full of stutters and much looking away. He's not suspicious, but relaxed and tense due to not being used to people wanting to communicate with him.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? React.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Fight, in a sense. While wanting to run away he knows he should face his problems head-on.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Easy jokes and silly puns get a good giggle out of him. He's pretty sheltered though so he wont get many references or dirty jokes.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? None that are diagnosed. He has a bit of an inferiority complex though from growing up wih his expressive issue.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Working with his grandmother. She gave him something to throw himself into completely, and to some extent, be proud of himself for.
14. What does he fear? People hating him, being completely alone. Bug eating his plants gdfhfhfghfgj.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? To make friends, and make his grandmother's store successful. As well as be more confident.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? He was whisked away to a crazy post-apocalyptic world and given powers, at least, back home he doesn't want that. People would think he was crazy or try to exploit his powers.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. Viktor loves his parents. They're always very supportive of him and are very patient with his problem.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? n/a
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? He loves his grandmother more than anyone in the world. He's not really close with anyone else in his family and is thus impartial to them.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? His only friend as a child, Edvin. But they haven't talked since then.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Edvin was a family friends son, they met when she came to visit Viktor's parents.
6. Does he have other close friends? No 8'(
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? He has only had one friend in his nineteen years of life. I think that speaks for itself. He wants to make friends though ;_;
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? Family, if only because he has no one meaning more to him than that.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Single forever oh god.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? n/a
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? n/a
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? Someone nice, and someone who genuinely loves him. Or at least acts like they do, or wants him around.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any? He's like some someday if that's how things plays out! He's worried he'd be bad at it though.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies? n/a
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? 3. Gender doesn't matter to him.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? He's never had it, so the topic being brought up just gets him flustered. It would be an important way of being intimate with someone he loves though.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Oh my god. Anything beyond the 'regular stuff' would worry him but he'd...probably...be fine as long as it was someone he trusted. Not that he'd put up much of a fight unless he really hated someone. Which is...rare (re: nonexistent).
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit each type?Viktor is a Virgo and it fits him pretty well. Rabbit seems to fit him as well in terms of the Chinese zodiac.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? Spiritual in a nature sort of sense. He deeply values nature and would never hurt it out of negative feelings.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Treat others how you would like to be treated. He tries his best to be understanding and not jump to conclusions ever. when it comes to someone who is senselessly violent or hurts nature in any way, this moral starts to easily bend.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? Curious and interested. If it's something that seems to be very negative he's either tolerant, confused, or intolerant depending on how extreme they are.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? Hurt plants willingly, get hate.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Comfortable! he doesn't have a lot of material possessions and all his time goes into his relatively successful flower shop.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? His condition makes him able to talk to people and communicate with them instead of staring silently, which is a big improvement. It comes with negative and positive effects.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? A small apartment over his flower shop. It doesn't have a proper bedroom with enough room for a bed so he sleeps on a futon surrounded by various potted plants and cut flowers.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Plants, plant food, soil, gardening instruments, etc. etc. new clothing when only necessary.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? Florist. Wouldn't change it for the world.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? Plants plants plants plants.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? Eats healthily with vegetables from his backyard, but doesn't have much variety in the things he eats. Simple pastas and other dishes are normally all he cooks.

Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is his favorite:
