Hurricane Names

When I was a little girl, the question on my lips was, why do hurricanes have human names? Isn't it horrible to realize that hurricanes destroying buildings and homes are given human names?
In fact, hurricanes are given names to help identify them. In view of the fact that there can be two or more hurricanes at a time, it makes sense to give them

Hurricane Frankie :))))))) LOL!!! I would rather be hit by no hurricane ;) though Frankie sounds too nice for the awful natural disaster. I'm even scared to look at the picture :) not to speak about the hurricane itself.
