Cash as the best gift???

I was really surprised to hear that. But during the recession, this gift happens to be the best. More and more people would like to see a bundle of cash under the Christmas tree or at least some practical gifts. My mom will definitely like this idea :) She likes practical gifts.

In 2000, I wanted to buy my mum some Euros for her birthday but at that time it was only an electronic currency, so I bought a few Swiss francs instead. As a reference to that gift, I did actually buy her €50 in 2006.

On each occasion, I told her to keep it for if their value ever went up.

I don't want cash as a present. I would like to receive some small budget gifts - candies, tea, shower gels and so on.

I also don't like bucks under a Christmas tree :) But my mom used to "sponsor" some ideas of mine as a gift. I was absolutely happy! btw they were no Christmas gifts ;)
