Some of them not even questions but fatherly rebukes. But most of all he had the experiences of a man who’d lost too many years with his child.

Thank you for this. It makes the story a lot deeper, and focuses the real issue on doing what's right for Daniel & Vala's daughter.

And on a much shallower level... I'm crossing my fingers for an NC-17 flashback. :-D

*nervous laughter* That poor line, it was on the chopping block many a time :P Suddenly happy I kept it in! I couldn't just ignore how Landry could relate though, even if others weren't quite seeing it from that perspective yet.

*cough* Yeah...I tried my hand at NC-17 in exactly one fic long ago and to this day I'm still facepalming for past!Gab :P

Hey, your NC-17 wasn't Fail! The best part was how it was followed by a wonderful scene of morning-after intimacy, which is rare in fanporn. I've read some truly nauseating PWP fic that's worse than bathroom graffiti.

Writing porn is about avoiding cliches, but is well worth the challenge. Practice makes perfect, which is why I'll never stop trying. :-D However, if you didn't at least *hint* at the juicy details leading up to how Nejaya was conceived, I'm gonna assume Daniel & Vala had dub-con fight!sex with both/one of them being idiots regarding contraception.

As for writing action, I'm in the middle of writing my first hard core fight scene involving Daniel & Vala vs. bad guys, and man, is that hard. Frell, it's hard.

ANYhoo, I love it when D/V authors remember that Hank Landry represents a LOT of important issues. SG-1 spent at least 30 years with him on the Odyssey; he's family, too.

Crap, I'm rambling all over your LJ. Sorry. I had a rough morning, and I need a margarita, but fandom is a much better drug. :-D

Well the morning after and the leading up I can do till the cows come home but the actually awesome NC-17 parts...as much as I love to read them (and boy-howdy do I ever :P), I just don't think I've got the talent to actually write it well. :( Lol, well you know what you're getting into with PWP! :P ( ... )

So happy to find this. In celebration I did a reread from the start. I'd wondered about baby's blue eyes but you kept up the suspense really well. Can't wait for the happy ending. Nejaya is really charming.

Thank you so much for that! From where I'm sitting it feels like I'm just laying everything out extremely obviously for the readers just because I know what's coming :P So I'm glad to hear there was some element of suspense on the other side :D

And ending is coming (in like a couple hours actually :P) but whether it's happy or not... ;)
