Still a bit in the Nutcracker mood - having been to a Nutcracker-On-Ice show yesterday night - I was you-tubing around and stumbled over the killing-me-cutely Sugar Plum Kitten.

I love that song (though the pumped up version is not my thing, even when I usually like them better). Was the show nice? I've never seen one of those on-ice productions...

The show was great.
I adore Nutcracker in any form and way, but seeing it performed on this really small ice stage (not much bigger than my living room, maybe 30 m²?) and on ice scates instead of the usual ballet slippers ... Whoa. Colour me impressed. Strongly recommended, if you ever get the chance to see one of these productions - do it!

I like modernized versions of the classics as well. David Garrett's cross-over style f.i. really does it for me. Yep, fangirling here.
This pumped-up "dance of the sugar plum fairy" is ... nice ... if you ask me, but I, too, love the original version better. But it does suit the kitty dance, doesn't it?
