So. Spent a week preparing for my birthday party - cleaning house for 5 grownup sleepover guests, baking, cooking, cutting veggies for salads... Yay for cucumbers and tomatoes being cleared of EHEC suspicions right on time BTW. Dear RAW veggies - how much I missed you...!
Then, running around catering for said guests all Sunday and Monday morning,

Next time, ask someone ELSE to host the party - or ask for people to bring dishes to share. I once hosted a party for my birthday, and I was too tired and busy to enjoy it at all. I hope you had a good time at the party while it actually happened. Herzliche Glueckwuensche!
