Class was meeting back in the SERF today. Murdock was a bit more serious than he usually was. It might have something to do with the
jet fighters that were lined up.
"Alright guys, by now you should now the basics of flying from previous classes. This is a lot more sophisticated than the other sims you've been flying, but the principle is the same. The same safety measures are in place, if you run into trouble, the program will take over and bring you safely back down."
He eyed each of his students as he walked around. "A few things before we get started. Even though this is a military aircraft, there's no weaponery on these sims. This isn't about trying to shoot at others, it's about flying. You can try any maneuver you'd like if you think you're up for it, each bird," and he waved a hand at the fighters, "is programmed with a variety of tactics and can display and guide you through a number of them."
"However," he stopped and faced the class, "no maneuvers against another student. Racing, trying to dogfight, cutting too close and I'll have the SERF take over and end the sim. And I won't be happy about it either."
"So, grab a fighter and get flyin'!"
