Straight From the Faerie's Mouth '09, Class 1

Jan 16, 2009 18:46

"Good morning." Tim greeted the students once he was sure everyone was there. Welcome to Straight from the Faerie's Mouth. I hope you all noted the spelling. That's F-A-E-R-I-E, not F-A-I-R-Y. If you signed up for this class by mistake, I'm sorry. Faeries, or The Fae, for short are a race of beings that once shared this world with us. Some of them were helpful, some of them weren't. And some of them are even still around. But as people's belief in them waned, a lot of them headed for greener pastures. In this class we'll be hearing from, and get a chance to talk to some Fae, and also some folks with a lot of experience in dealing with them.

"Today's gonna be easy though. I'd like you all to introduce yourselves, name, ethnic heritage if you know it, and your experience, if any, with the Fae, or any supernatural creature really. I'll start. My name is Tim Desmond, I'm Russian, and Irish by descent, American by birth. When I was a teenager I got roped into being the PR man for the Fae, and as you can see, it stuck."

[We're flying OCD free today. I'll ping in when I can but my access to the Inter-Connecting-Web-Sites is uncertain. Please be patient.]
