After the guy came to take away the game tables, photo booth, and cotton candy machine, Dani didn't feel like going back to her room. She still had the cooler full of sodas (all the good stuff was long gone) and several days worth of racing news to go over.
She was saddened to hear
the news about Big Brown, but another story about
wild mustangs for sale held her attention for quite a while. She knew ranchers who had adopted wild mustangs from the Bureau of Land Management, including Jean Ritter. It was definitely better than seeing them sent to slaughterhouses. She debated giving Junior a call to see if Davis Farms could take in a horse or two.
