Screwtape isn't in his office today.
When he entered the lobby this morning all the NPC clerks starting yammering about how he was "the man from the teevee" and waving bits of paper and body parts they wanted him to autograph.
At first he thought they were having a bit of... fun, at his expense of course. but soon realized that they were actually quite serious. And that all he had to do was scratch something that didn't even vaguely look like his signature (which these people would be familiar with being city clerks) and he would make them quite happy.
So he did what any self respecting Tempter would do in this situation.
He turned around and walked out never having said a word.
