Ferry Landing: Monday afternoon [6-18-07]
Millie appeared on the landing, stepping through the portal backwards while still waving to Christopher and Gabriel and the others back in the castle. "Yes, yes, I'll take good care and I promise to write, and I'll try not to get into too much trouble." She shifted out of the way as various bags and bundles began to appear beside her. "Right, yes, I have all of my things - ooh! Proudfoot's scarf, I left it on the -"
She laughed as it flew out of the portal at her and wrapped it around her neck for easier handling, causing the white cat in her arms to meow sleepily in protest. "It's all right, Proudfoot, I promise to give it back. Goodbye, everyone, love you." She waved wildly, bracelets jangling, till the portal closed, then turned to survey the place that was to become her new home.
She looked at the pile of belongings that had arrived with her and wrinkled her nose in thought, before concentrating very hard on the pictures of the carriage house of the school she'd seen when Gabriel had first told her she was being sent here. She certainly hoped it was better than the last place he'd sent her. Oh well, she'd run away once, she could always do it again! But in the meantime...
She focused again and all but one of the bundles disappeared, sent handily along ahead of her. "Much better. She hoisted the last bag over her shoulder, careful not to disturb Proudfoot too much and started towards her new home.
