“So, for ‘Love Like Oxygen’ activities, the five of you will choose a color you think suits yourself the best or you love the most.” Manager hyung says, “Please take a note that it’ll be the color of your costume, so pick the best out of all.”

Choosing a color that might suit them the best may be a hard task, but choosing a color they like is not. Key immediately chooses pink, Jonghyun chooses gold (because he’s BlingBling, he says), Minho chooses blue, and Taemin chooses white. But for Onew, it’s a hard task to do. He wants to choose blue, but as a good leader he is, he gives up and just smile when Minho says he wants blue.
It has been two days, and Onew still hasn’t chosen any color as his color. Frustrated, Onew decides to ask opinion from his members.

“You should be white, like tofu.” Jonghyun suggests.
“But Taemin chooses white already.”
“Ask him to choose another color?”
“And having Kibum lectures me for ‘abusing’ his son? No way, Jonghyun-ah.”
“Well, look for another color, then.”

“Grey will look good on you, hyung.” Minho says out his opinion loud.
“But it’s not a bright color, Minho-yah. I should choose something bright.”
“…”
“Well?”
“I don’t know, ask Taemin. He knows all the colors on crayons.”

“Maybe red? Since you’re a leader and leader’s color is red?”
“We’re not Power Rangers, Taeminnie.” Onew sighs.
“But red looks good on you!”
“...I’ll ask for one more person’s opinion then.”

Onew sits next to Key, who’s watching The Fairly Odd Parents on television, carefully thinking when the right time to ask his opinion is.
“Haven’t chosen any color, have you?” Key suddenly breaks the silent between the two of them.
Onew stares into the screen, nodding his head. “Uh-huh. Care to help?”
“I don’t have any idea, really. Watch with me, instead.”
Onew never can refuse.
And it’s funny how he finally gets what color to choose after watching the cartoon with Key. Maybe Key is really inspiring without himself noticing.

“Green? It’s so unexpected, hyung!” Taemin compliments when Onew shows off his outfit.
“Yeah. Nice, isn’t it?” Onew grins.
“Hey, to think of it, the colors of your and Key’s outfits are just like Cosmo’s and Wanda’s color!”
And since then, green and pink is the official parental color.
