Are things really that bad over there?

And are you taking any Japanese classes to help you out?

There are a few "American schools" over here that teach the language to .. well .. foreigners. Which I guess I am. Ha.

And yeah, it sucks so far. Guess it'll be better once classes start?

Hey, you're a designer and quote Miyavi. I'm going to be going to design school in New York, and I'm also worried about feeling lonely up there in such a big city not knowing anybody. (I'm lucky the language is the same.) Anyway, I just thought we had some stuff in common. Want to be friends?

Yeah, absolutely. We can compare schools, haha. So you know Miyavi? Are you Japanese?

Yeah. I don't know anybody who's going to design school over there. Most of the people I know are either in London or New York for it. I like Miyavi a lot. He's a very respectable musician. I'm half-American half-Israeli, actually. I had a Japanese ex who got me into the music.

Well, my parents were Japanese. And my mom wanted me to go there with her some day, but she died last year. So we'll say I'm following up on my promise to her.
