yup, relationships eat up a lot of time. Wonderful, but time consuming. Maybe Tesla was on to something with the whole celibacy thing after all. :-P

No cousins?? Parents not have many siblings? I have over 20, they are cool when they are around your age, more christmas presents to give and receive. Oh, and also, I'm an uncle now, my brother just had a baby girl a little while back... Uncle Ted! sweeeet

Good to hear you're doing good, are you a senior now? Did you take an extra year? Or are you going for masters? Any ME jobs you are looking at? I'll have to be doing that in the next few years, so I don't mind hearing about it from you first.

My mom was a single child, and my dad has two sisters (one is a half sister that's 12 years younger than him). His sister and her husband decided not to have kids long ago, his half sister is now pregnant for the first time. So no, no cousins. My aunt's husband's sister has two kids, so they're kind of like distant cousins, but i don't see them more than once every few year.

I graduated with a BS in May, now i'm working on me masters degree. Job searching will be starting for me in the next couple of months. I'm interested in Boeing, but we'll see.

I absolutely agree that dating while going to school is hard. Turns out I only get good grades (while dating) if I don't have a job :/

I can think of 2 girls we went to high school with that already have babies, & another 1 who is currently pregnant... & none of them are married.

That's a bit crazy to think about.

How is school going anyway? Speech therapy right? When do you graduate?

Yep, but I don't graduate 'til forever... like 2 years... seeing as I just started in the field last quarter. O well, 2 years is better than 4 I guess.

you always have such a great attitude about life, val. I haven't yet decided if it's inspiring or annoying.

relationships don't HAVE to be complicated. maybe eventually, but it can definitely stay simple for a while. and ya know, complicated isn't that bad as long as you have some simple to fall back on.

congrats on the BS, by the way. forgot to tell you that back when it happened.

good to hear from you in general. Glad things are looking so good.

They don't HAVE to be complicated but almost always are for me. It's less that they're inherently complicated, rather they bring with them a lot to think about, consider, and figure out. Also, there tends to be uncertainty or confusion too, like not being sure what they're thinking/feeling or even what i'm feeling at times. In the absence of a relationship or general interaction with women beyond friendship, there is none of this stuff to weigh down my mind.

I'd actually say that it gets simpler later in the relationship rather than earlier. I think this is mostly cuz we look for different things out of it.

Complicated is never good, but it can be worth it.
