Okay. No honestly. HONESTLY. Now i've got an idea into my head that I can't get rid of WTH.
Here is my video game idea (my immense need, if you will):
I want some game company (ideally, Bethesda, but I'm open as long as SOMEONE creates it) to make an intricate RPG based in turn-of-the-century London. I would like it to have similar mechanics to Fallout 3 and Oblivion, meaning I would like the gamer to be able to design a character in every aspect, from the size of their eyes down to their major and minor skills and their class. Your character would have to level up, just like in Oblivion and Fallout 3, and with each new level comes added stat bonuses added riches to the world. I would love a vast wardrobe for both male and female characters that ranges from grubby street clothes to resplendent dresses and suit combinations. For my enjoyment, I'd also like you to be able to accessorize your character with the following: monocle, pipe, wire-rimmed glasses, top hats, canes/walking sticks, cloaks/capes, pocket watches, hankies, an assortment of make-up and jewels, etc.
I would like this game to be immense. I would like it to span over all of, if not most of London, and-- for future expansions-- perhaps other parts of turn-of-the-century Europe. Like Oblivion, I would like it to have guilds to join (ie: dark cults and covens, a devision of police and inspectors/detectives, vampire/werewolf clans, a guild of cut throats and murderers and criminals, a guild for inventors and intellectuals, for illusionists and magicians, for fighters and boxers, much, much more) wherein you can advance through the ranks. I would like this game to have housing available to the player; a dreary shack near the docks, grimy apartments, abandoned factories, an elegant flat, a mansion.
I would like this game to include opium dens, because, srsly, come on. I'd like it to have an assortment of pubs and eateries, shopping plazas that include tailors and cobblers and watchmakers, butcheries, doctors offices, police barracks, ect. I'd like to visit a play or the opera, or the ballet or the symphony. I'd like to experience turn of the century London with all the added mystics and mythics of the supernatural.
I would like this game to have a vast array of weaponry, ranging from swords disguised as canes, to small/large firearms, to clubs and daggers and swords. I would like there to be a main quest (duh) and hundreds of side quests to while away the time with
Also, there is so much space to include famous faces of history! Jack the Ripper, Sherlock Holmes! That's all I can think of right now, but seriously! It'd be a delicious little addition to the game! Just bend the years a little and BOOM. AMAZING.
I'd love it to have an award winning original score and I'd love it if it were a fucking amazing game that I could waste a good deal of my life playing.
in short: SOMEONE MAKE THIS FUCKING GAME OKAY. NO SRSLY. WHY HASN'T ANYONE MADE AN RPG BASED AROUND TURN OF THE CENTURY LONDON? WHY? I DON'T GET IT. BETHESDAY, GAME COMPANIES, I DON'T EFFING GET IT.
WTH.
Also, please! Feel free to add on to my ideas! in fact I encourage it! I want to know what everybody thinks! HELP ME MAKE THIS GAME INTO A SOLID IDEA PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU. UGH.
PS: Does anybody know if game companies actually listen to you if you pitch gaming ideas? I want to write a letter to Bethesda or something. Honestly. I need this game in my life ; - ;
