I feel really guilty as a father sometimes… scratch that! most of the times. I brought him all this way just to not be with him. After I get off work I rushing to fix dinner, I never have to sit with him anymore and go over homework, I really feel disconnected as a parent. I’m so busy scolding him I don’t have a chance to hug him

How old is your kid? Might be a good time to let him into the weird wild wonderful world of your blog, and you can communicate with him asynchronously, yet more intimately than perhaps many parents are comfortable being with their children.
