I don't quite like wearing socks with girly shoes (sans sneakers/joggers/nikes/dunks/etc) though i love buying the stripey orange/whites and red/white pairs that come across my sight :)
Nothing showy for me (unless its an awesome shade of awesome fluro i.e. FLURO GREEN).
Recently (two weeks ago) i arrived home from a trip overseas- one of the countries visited being Korea. I like Korea due to its shopping mostly (as well as current pop-culture; mainly my continued following of their media- mostly music) as it's cheap. if you go to one of their day markets i.e myeongdong you can grab good high quality clothes for less than $20 or some more elaborate beautiful girly pieces for around a reasonable price of $40-45 all prices of which are bargainable XD. Likewise in nightmarkets (sorry can't remember name of place) they have CHEAP-ER prices and they're so willing to sell that prices can be knocked down easily! Though unless you're severely concious of your cash, you don't even need to bargain; stalls have shoes (from high heels to flats to boots in winter) from $10 a pair, beautiful accessories and hair garments for $5-10, even unoffical but great quality k-dramas at $12 a series! It's unbelievable!
Anyways, my point; during my last day in Seoul, Incheon we managed to garner some time for nightmarket shopping :D (the lights and decor are especially beautiful- amaingly beautiful during christmas time) and snagged a pair of adorable animal ankle socks (complete with its own set of ears peeking from the top) for me and my sisters at home!
Combined them with my HKD$78 wedges from hong kong and this is what you get:
I'm going to wear this out one day. With my hand-made (by my mum!) yellow floral/check poofy skirt, some tights if cold, and a pretty big bow cutsew (from
