Oh my gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one all teary. What's with that? I don't do emotions- this whole getting emotional over an election is sooooo weird. But yet, sooooo good. Yay Obama!

Part of it was the waiting, the not wanting to jinx anything (given the last couple cycles...), and then the "holy crap, we did that."

...crap, I'm gonna start crying again!

I only heard the beginning of the speech, but...yeah. It's hard for me to trust any politician, but I am feeling hopeful this time.

As I said to a friend who'd been suppressing her impulse to cry, "A half-Kenyan dude married to a descendant of slaves just got elected out of Illinois...and he's buying his daughters a PUPPY. That's worth a few tears." :D

Hey I had good, solid reasons for fighting the tears. Doesn't mean I didn't get the tight-throat-can't-breathe emotional reation. And yeah. A puppy. That man is my hero. ...wonder if he'll rescue one from the Humane Society.
