It was always Galley Three. Over two months, the unknown perpetrator had left gingerbread, chocolate chip cookies, three batches of cupcakes, a three tier chocolate cake, and a batch of pecan sweet rolls. It wasn’t something to set guards over, but it was curious. Adama had noted a peculiar pattern.

“Madame President, I didn’t know you cooked.”

Laura jumped and gave him a slightly guilty look. “I don’t cook. I bake. If it doesn’t have sugar in it, I’ve no idea how to make it. What gave me away?”

“It’s always the night before your doloxen treatments.”

“Baking relaxes me.”

Oh! That took me by surprise! I was giggling until the last line and it totally suckerpunched me.

Thanks! I really don't see Roslin as a cook, but I can see her baking to get rid of nervous energy. I see this as happening sometime after Kobol when Adama and Roslin are starting to become friends.

Hee! This is both hilarious and cute. The last two lines transform it into something you can totally understand when before that it was just cracky.

Thank you. I really like the idea of her doing something to get rid of nervous energy before chemotherapy and baking seemed to fit.

I can totally imagine Laura having something to take her mind off things. It just makes me wonder where she get's all the ingredients. I'm wondering what she can do with algae *lols*

Thanks! I really see this as set in Season Two after the Kobol Arc when they still had real food stores and right around the time she and Adama were becoming friends.

Aww, I love this. MMD says Laura was supposedly a gourmet cook, so I love stuff that manages to bring bits of that out in her. So sweet.
