RL continues to impinge on my IL (internet life, that is) in a frustrating way. I'm seriously in awe of the people on my f'list who manage full time jobs, fanfic, knitting projects, children, a relationship with a significant other/spouse, travel, parties and other social activities, concerts, plays, etc. and still regularly update their LJs.

Yeah, RL can kind of consume you, can't it? Even if it's just family and a job, that can be enough to take all your time and then some. You're right, I don't know how someone can handle so much and still keep an updated LJ; I envy those types of people.
I hope you find some time to keep writing here, though. If nothing else, it's a bit of a break from the daily stresses of RL.

I see that you've been having a hard time yourself -- I've got my fingers crossed that you'll find a balance that works, too. *hugs*

Glad that RL is at least being good to you as repayment for dragging you away from fandom. But I do hope to see you here more often.

I know what you mean about the multiple blogs. I set up one under my pen name that I never use, and another one to use for personal stuff, but I can't seem to use that one either. I also got a myspace page, because C has one and that's the only way to get to see her pictures there, but I too hate the interface with the burning fire of a thousand suns! Having more to choose from sets up a paralysis in me -- I think of something to write about, then I start to dither about which journal to post it in, and when I can't decide I end up just not writing anything. :-/
