Plus 2 more under the cut :)

Alright, first I took my base after having cropped it down to 100x100 and I went to Layer>>New Adjustment Layer>>Curves. Mine was like this, but it's al going to depend on the image you're using so you may have to play around with it a bit.

RGB: 40/104
Red: 67/77
Green: 68/90
Blue: 65/79

And here's what I got:

Now apply sharpening to your base if it needs it.

I duplicated my base, drug it to the top and set it to Screen 100%. I almost stopped there because I think that coloring it gorgeous, but I decided to go further.

Exclusion 100%

Soft Light 100%

Soft Light 100%

Then I duplicated the base, took it to the top and set it too Overlay 79%

Then I just added so text using the Amaze font at 12pt.

Okay after I have my base cropped down to 100x100, I'm going to add a Curves Adjustment Layer. My settings are as follows but these will most likely vary depending on the picture you're using, so you may need to play around with it a bit.

RGB: 45/116
Red: 61/77
Green: 61/74
Blue: 59/85

Then I sharpened my base, brought it to the top and set it to Screen 100%

Then I did Layer>>New Adjustment Layer>>Hue/Saturation and bumped the Saturation up to +40. Again this is going to vary on your picture and your own liking.

Color Burn 100%

Soft Light 100%

Then I duplicated the base and brought up to the top and set it to Screen 73%. I duplicated it again and set it to Overlay 37%

Then you can add any text, or what ever you like. I left this one alone because I thought it was pretty enough on its own :)

Tutorial 3

I had a request for this one. I don't have the .psd file, but I'll try to get a close as I can to the original.

Okay, after cropping my base down, I add a Curves Adjustment Layer with the setting like this. These will vary on the picture that you are using.

RGB: 56/132
Red: 81/83
Green: 72/83
Blue: 87/89

Then I sharpened the base, took it to the top and set it to Screen 100%

Then I added a Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer, setting the Saturation to +19. Then make sure your colors are black on the foreground and white in the background and then add a Gradient Map Adjustment layer. Set the blend mode to multiply. You may need to play around with the slider to adjust the black/white levels to your liking.

Exclusion 100%

Color Burn 86%

Soft Light 100%

Then I merged my layers and cut the size down to 80x80.

I took this texture from meleada and drug my base picture on top of it. I had to rotate it and rescale it just a bit and then I set the blend mode to Darken.

It's pretty close. I must have missed a step some where because the picture in the original appears to be a bit lighter. Probably another Screen layer or something.
