A couple of requested. Done in PS 7, but should translate pretty easily. The tuts are very, very easy! :)

Okay, so after cropping my base down, I duplicated it, set it to Soft Light at 100% and desaturated it. Then I went back to my base and sharpened it a bit since it got a little blurry from resizing.

Exclusion 100%

Color Burn 17%

Darken 31%
both gradients are from crumblingwalls

Not very pretty is it o_o
Let's fix that :)

Now I duplicated the base and brought it up to the top, desaturated it, and set it to Overlay at 20%. Duplicate that 3 more times. Leave the first 2 on Overlay 20% and the last one(the one on top to Screen 20%)

Merge.

Next I took this texture from iris_elegance

I then drug my base in top of the texture (or you can do select>>all>>edit>>copy>>edit>>paste)

I then flipped the picture horizontally and then moved it over until the text on the texture was showing.

Then using either a layer mask, or your erase tool, zoom way in and take away the background from your picture. For myself, I always use a layer mask, because 9 times out of 10, I'll make a mistake in taking away the background, but I won't notice it until later. With the layer mask, I can easily go back and fix it.

Finally I took this texture from http://www.fallen-rose.com/textures.php

I pasted it on the layer just above the bottom texture. I then mirrored it, desaturated it, and set it to Screen 100% and moved it around till I liked it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

This one, I don't have the original .psd anymore, but I'll get as close as possible to the original as I can.

After cropping my base down to about 100 x75, I sharpened it a bit then added

Exclusion 57%

Softlight 100%

Merge.

Now duplicate your merged layer and set it to Colorburn and adjust the opacity to your liking. I have mine set on 41%.

Next I took this texture from 77words

and then drug my picture on top of it. I then went to edit>>transform>>scale to make it just a bit smaller. Then I went to layer>>layer style>>stroke and added a 1px white border.

Next I added a layer mask to the picture and used this brush from ch_photoshopped to get the rounded corners on my picture.

Next I made a new layer and flood filled it with white and added a layer mask to that. I then used this brush from arisubox
because I wanted some of those cool white lines on my icon.

Finally to do my text I used the Will and Grace font. I first wrote Brett's last name Scallions at 24pt then rotated it 90 degrees clock wise. I put the opacity down to 51% and moved it until it ws right along the side of the picture. I then wrote Brett at 18pt in Will and Grace and also rotated that. I moved it until it was right above his last name. Lastly under the picture, I added a tiny text brush from fangirls_inc.

I started with this texture from 77words

Then I went to my picture and cropped it down to about 100x45. I then sharpened it a bit and then drug it on top of the texture. I set it to Multiply 100%(I think this will only work with pictures that have a white/lightish background)

Next I added my text using Violation.

Then I used one of those scratchy texture from peoplemachines and set that to Screen 100%

Click for fullsize. Use your marquee tool to select and copy a portion of the texture to use.

Finally I added this border brush from ch_photoshopped

Have fun with these, but please don't copy exactly :)
