Day 4

Jul 19, 2007 11:38

The clouds were thick the next morning. The village bell tolled mournfully in the pale light as the villagers one by one wandered into the center of town. rustymaggot still hung by the rafters in the middle of the building. blackbeardin comments, "You think someone should cut him down?"

As they looked around the room at the tired and weary faces of each other, lorriet burst ( Read more... )

If he'd been the seer, he'd have stood up and told us what he knew before dying. Unless he was just being really surly by the end... Even though it wouldn't have been helpful, a few safe people in the village would have been a blessing.

Traditionally, a SEER up on the chopping block will eventually come out and reveal. The general pattern is to plead like there's no tomorrow when the tide against them becomes great. Sometimes they'll reveal in desperation, hoping that the witch will save them (of course we lost ours, so that doesn't apply). At the very least they should reveal in the last few minutes, to get their info out.

Rustymaggot came off as more arrogant and logically challenged than pleading.

why giantlaser? he's barely said anything. wtf @ wolf killings this game.

Totally agree with you on the wtf. Just about everyone who was a seriously suspicious person has been eaten, lynched, or given a Sicilian neck-tiel; you'd think the wolves would want those people around to distract them.

Hm, giantlaser suspected hungryandhollow, rustymaggot and makellan. Maybe the wolves thought he was a seer, because he got one (or maybe even two) right?

i'm not a wolf, rustymaggot wasn't a wolf, and makellan is sequestered for the day. besides, that would seem a little ham-handed of the wolves, don't you think?

Well, Makellan has immunity today. I'm not really convinced about Hungryandhollow. It could go either way. Whoever is the magistrate, at some point later tell me what you thought was the benefit of sequestering the most likely person to put forward today...

Hell, I'll put myself out on the line.

VOTE EVILBEN

Almost everyone who's died thus far has pointed at him, and been a villager. It'd be rediculous to assume the wolves are killing people off to frame him, but I think I want to see if there's any credence there.

That's worded poorly. Let me try again: I think that we have a few people (the dead villagers) who we know to not be trying to deceive us. Rusty's methods were very much against the spirit of the village, but maybe his hunches are right?

This is of course not a final vote for the day, by any stretch. But it's as good a place to start as any, I think...

You say that because you're new. That happens all the time.
