Day 5

Jul 20, 2007 11:22

The village was awaken by a great wailing come morning. Disturbed and upset villagers one by one poked their heads out of their cottages and hesitantly made their way to the cries. As they approached evilben's cottage they found it surrounded by over a dozen evilben clones all sobbing and crying. A suck walked jubilently through the throng of clones. The ( Read more... )

It came to me while I was driving - it's an amazing strategy. If the wolves aren't doing this on purpose, I'm gonna kick my own ass for giving it away and not saving it for when I'm a wolf. The wolves aren't just eating the suspects to cause chaos - they're neutralizing the seer ( ... )

I wouldn't say amazing. ragnarok_now July 20 2007, 22:56:00 UTC
Following your line of reasoning on the third day the wolves didn't eat the runner-up. The most likely senario is that said runner-up was a wolf.

The two other candidates at that time were makellan and yourself.

Again, assuming you are correct, bringing it up makes it seem unlikely that you are a wolf.

vote makellan

On the other hand, you could be trying to mislead the seer. And it is quite likely that there are other reasons for their picks.

I call it self defense, you call it what you will. But since I have yet to vote for either Cambler or Gorillashaman I am not sure how you are claiming I am starting a bandwagon against them. You on the other hand have been a consistent target of mine and yet somehow you keep escaping justice.

By the way, if the wolves started this strategy how come you're claiming credit for it? Unless of course you are a wolf and are staking your claim ahead of your three pack mates.

The little :P at the end was meant to indicate that I was being silly, and I'm claiming credit for it a) to antagonize the wolves and b) because no one can claim credit for it without admitting they're a wolf ( ... )

I see so the two people Evilben (THE VILLAGER) was aimed at, are voting against me? Color me surprised. I hope you two wolves are happy when the the rest of the villagers get around to noticing this frame up!

See, they were high on my list, too, but I've had to rethink and revisit since recent developments.

I'm still not sure about H&H...but yeah...definitely an interesting strategy the wolves are using.

Now, you and ragnarok_now are two of my favored suspects.

Just to be clear: we are suspects because 'we' have discovered the wolf strategy? You know what this make you look like.

No, I haven't discovered the "strategy". But you have to admit that the chaos and consistent "day 1" mentality is pretty good, no? Whatever strategy it is, it has even experienced players (not me) scratching their heads.

I had some theories the last few days...like x voted for y because z! Then, z would turn out to be absolutely wrong.

I think it makes me look like a villager talking out my hind end. We have to start somewhere, though.

Ahh, I see the evil-wolf-plan. Stride votes me out when she knows darn well that I have wedding rehearsal today and a wedding tomorrow. She thinks I won't be able to check in until Monday morning when it's far too late to save myself.
vote Stride
You all know she's dangerous. Her trying to lynch another villager (Me) simply proves it.

oh, and that actually is likely to be it from me until Monday morning. If I ever have to do anything this complicated again, I'm hiring help.

1) I'm a villager
2) I was at the rehersal and will be at the wedding, too. :P

Okay, time to weigh in. I'm the SEER, makellan is NOT a wolf. The hunter already burned me on my first look (maniakes) and my second has gone back to the snack factory(evilben) so I'll be damned if I'm going to wait till Monday morning for my third to talk himself out of a lynch, especially since I have TWO positive results.

baronlaw, and hungryandhollow are both lying WEREWOLVES.

alrighty then.

(although I have no clue why the SEER wouldn't jump on the baronlaw bandwagon if he thought baronlaw was a wolf)

That's good enough for me. Of course, if you're lying, tomorrow will be very boring. Then again, I guess if you're telling the truth, tomorrow will also be kinda boring. :)

As I mentioned below, you're lying, because I'm Cupid. Read one post down for more details.

lolololol nice try but.... i'm the Cupid. And I'm pretty sure you can't be the cupid and a ralph nader, so unless someone corrects me on that, you're a liar. vote blackbeardin

If you don't believe I'm the Cupid, well, I can always out the lovers, but that probably does more harm than good. I don't know why a wolf not under threat of lynching would claim to be the Seer, but since I'm Cupid I don't know why the supposed Seer would say I was a wolf.

Well, you're sort of right... blackbeardin July 23 2007, 09:29:22 UTC
Damn. This was my worst case scenario.

You're right, I'm a lying seer. I thought you were a wolf from a lot of your interactions with baronlaw and I thought I could blow some smoke and get you lynched without having to seer you, and maybe even get the fourth wolf to out himself. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

However, my worst case scenario isn't all that bad(I don't think). dragonattack is the other wolf I picked up. I don't think he's nader because he started the dogpile on chessiekitty on day four when the votes had started to rack up on baronlaw(you also swung your vote over to her after that). Then today when the votes started to pile up against baronlaw you pulled your vote from stride and swung over to makellan, who I knew to be a non-wolf. I figured at that point, I could risk charging you. The odds of you being a special weren't all that high. :P

Please give us the straight dope at this point.

What I read so far is that you say you're the seer. you say you've scanned dragonattack, baronlaw, and makellen. you say dragonattack and baronlaw are wolves and makellan is a villager. Then you posted a total fabrication involving hungryandhollow. wtf? Why?

If you really are the seer, you KNOW the wolves are going to eat you tonight. Would you have died not telling us you thought dragonattack was a wolf? WTF?

Am I the only one finding this hard to believe?

unvote hungryandhollow

Now the tough part. Do I switch back to baronlaw, or do I switch to you? If you're not a wolf, you're sure to get eaten tonight. If you're still alive tomorrow, you're certain to get lynched. Either way, you're already dead, and I'm free today to put my vote back where it was.

vote baronlaw
