(no subject)
pocketbook meme!
my purse which i always think of as extravagantly expensive ($50) until i see all the freaking 12 year olds who come into my work with their $300 coach bags. anyway, i really love this bag for all of the pockets inside which keep me very organized. everything has a specified place.
oh and the lolkitty is millie (why yes, my livejournal is named for my cat, why do you ask?) who started playing with the bag's straps when i put it down next to her
i have too much stuff to fit in one picture so i broke it up into two categories.
this is the everyday stuff, the things that i always carry with me:
- little pink notebook and pen. this is where i make endless to do lists, grocery lists, and keep track of my 50 books in 2008 list.
- pink phone that i sort of don't like anymore but i don't want to spend $200 on a new one just yet.
- keys (with yoshi keychain! <3)
- many chapsticks. one for every mood, and i honestly use almost all of them at different points during the course of a day.
- assorted gum and incredibly sour apple tic tacs. and a teeny hairclip.
- green ipod nano. his name is luigi. clearly there is a theme running through many of my belongings. remind me to show you my 6" mushroom shaped bank next time i take pictures of my room. yeah.)
- wallet that matches my purse. almost as pricey as the bag but ugh so worth it. this thing holds my whole life. i meant to take a picture of the inside of this too, but my camera battery ran out.
- and of course my camera, but i can't take a picture of it unless i use the computer camera and i don't feel like doing that.
other stuff which happened to be in my bag at the time of picture taking:
- juno soundtrack (<333 so much) which has been playing on repeat this weekend.
- some jewelry i bought yesterday at my most favoritest store in the world, sadie green's. (pretty much, if you've ever received a present or a card from me, chances are that's where i got it.) there's two strands of little seed beads, i had two of them already but one broke so this is a replacement plus an extra. i wear these in some combination almost every day. plus a bracelet, and a couple of rings, and the receipt.
- mailing label. someone on my friendslist is getting a package soon :) and a little blue sharpie that actually should go on the everyday side. not sure how it migrated over here.
- "passport" from an international festival at a heifer project farm mom and i went to yesterday. we traveled around to the different 'countries' (reproduction villages that were really incredible, we learned so much) and they gave you a stamp on the passport for each one. there's also a wrapper from a candy i got in the poland area. very yummy.
and i wanted to post some pictures of the babies but then i realized i hadn't taken any that recently so i will have to do that tomorrow. but for now here's
clockwise from the top: the slightly darker gray kitten is called boots, the black one is mina (even though we're pretty sure it's a boy) the gray kitten facing the camera is kanye (yeah, that kanye. my brother was at a show while they were being born and he said we had to name one of them in his honor) and the white one is unnamed but we've been calling it bandit for the white mask markings around the eyes, not that you can see them in this picture.
kanye sleepin', bein' adorable. these pictures were taken a week or two ago. they were 6 weeks on thursday and are quite a bit bigger and more mobile than they were there. they're just starting to eat and drink from bowls instead of mom and use the litter box (though they need some practice... lol) and run around like crazyyy. the older cat, millie (she's not their mom) pretty much hates them and hisses at them when they come near her :( haha but she's gonna have to get used to it because we're gonna keep kanye.
ok now it's way later than i had intended and i am exhausted so goodnight!
