The obligatory Avatar review

So I saw Avatar on...wednesday?

Right after I saw it, my mind was absolutely blown at its visuals. The plot was exactly the same as Pocahontas--I was waiting for them to paint with the colors of the wind--but that hardly mattered; it didn't get in the way of the action and was just enough so that I wasn't bothered by it.

However, after a couple days

[laugh] I came very close to seeing Avatar the other day (my spineless self, always capitulating to the whims of friends), but didn't due to opening night madness. I think we ended up seeing a vastly superior film in the end, but I can't help but be curious, because, yeah, everyone raves about the visuals. 3-D makes me dizzy, though :\
