Iridial Legacy 1.2
Last week on Iridial, the Legacy...
- Tingent and Chroma Iridial had a daughter, Saffron.
- Tingent fought fires, Chroma gardened, and they both cared for their only child.
- Chroma became more and more famous, apparently without trying.
- They had a fun holiday in Egypt.
We rejoin them the night they return from Egypt...
Oh well, it was a cheap computer anyway, and nobody used it.
Tingent: Why is there a policeman in our front room, dear?
Chroma: I told you we needed a burglar alarm.
Tingent: You also told me your lettuces were rebellious and planning to lead the whole garden in mutiny.
Policeman: Uh, yeah, right. I'll just take some notes and be outta here.
At least the criminal swine didn't get the priceless artefacts!
My God, is that Maid Delicia actually cleaning something??

Ah, new maid. That explains it. This one's called Chanda.
Chroma threw a birthday party for Saffy
Being as they were almost all Chroma's friends, it's not surprising if Saffy felt a little ignored.
Her father wasn't even there, thanks to the city starting to shake violently just as guests started to arrive.
Ah, a fireman's day is never over.
Mind you, it's probably good Tingent wasn't around to see Chroma and Matthew Hamming getting all flirty
Oh well, at least one person blew a trumpet for Saffy.
There's the only school friend Saffron has, in the middle there. It's the bitch vampire, Belisama Hemlock.
She's a lousy friend. Saffy had the 'hunted' moodlet for ages and ages after this party.
However, the party wasn't all bad, because Saffron met Jupiter Belle for the first time.
They really hit it off. Hmm, maybe Belisama had fancied him for herself. That could explain a lot.
Jupiter: Babe, I'm totally gonna joyride with you in my famous mother's sportscar!
Saffron: *falls head over heels*
Both of them: mmmph, umph...
He stayed the night.
How cutely chaste they are.
Becoming friends with Jupiter got Saffron her first star of fame.
Only four to go!
Tingent chose to share his birthday with only his wife and best friend...
...who are sadly not the same woman.
Oh, Tingent, no. Just no. Get thee to a mirror, man.
The next party was Chroma's. She chose to hold it in the dark, of course.
Tingent, what the hell are you doing to Belisama on the left there?
Oh, you were just giving her your paper trumpet. Well, that was, uh, nice of you, I guess.
Chroma's birthday leaves her feeling unsettled.
Tingent and Chroma as full adults.
Longer hair for both, a few less piercings, but basically as pretty as ever. She needn't worry.
Meanwhile, Saffron and Jupiter are getting closer. He invited her over for the night.
She got her second fame star just from being in the Belle house as far as I could tell.
There's only so much time you can spend making out...

[It was at this point that Fraps simply stopped working altogether. I still don't know why. Even uninstalling/reinstalling made no difference. So I gave up on it and installed screenprint32. So far, no problems. Anyway, it took me a while to realise Fraps wasn't working, so again I have many pictures missing, which means a lot of Saffron's adolescence is gone. I think the most important event that can't now be documented was a rather lovely trip to France. I'm sad to have lost that. ]
So, when we rejoin the family, the house has been extended further...

Tingent's still heavily involved with the love of his life
Yeah, 'cause that's a sane reaction, Tingent.
Chroma seems to spend most of every day gardening. She works far longer hours than Tingent does and can't even sell the produce.
Or even eat some of it.
Saffron's about to hit young adulthood, so it's now or never for Generation 0's random generational goal - A Party To Remember.
Just a reminder of the rules:
* Throw an epic party at your home lot
* At least five guests
* Live entertainment
* A three-course meal all of at least very nice quality, laid out buffet style.
* Very nice or better nectar
* Drama - A breakup, a marriage, a death, a new baby, a birthday...
Saffy's birthday seems the perfect event for this, though if it fails there'll be no second chances.

The family has so many friends by now. Mostly Chroma's, but still.
The missing trip to France has provided the nectar:
Tingent makes a hot wine waiter.
That is, a hot waiter of wine, not a waiter of hot wine. ;)
Chroma makes the food.
Not her best, but good enough.
Live entertainment is provided by... a guest,
Chroma singing French ditties to (a now elder) Matthew Hamming over the top of the poor guest's music,
and Tingent playing with his snake.
Don't worry. All bar one guest had gone by this time so the scandal was kept to a minimum. ;)
Oh, and the most important part of the night:
Yes, crap and only picture. I got caught up in events and forgot to take any good ones.
Still, one challenge successfully realised!
A suitably Tombraider outfit for the new young adult.
All she needs is a brace of pistols.
The very first thing she does after her party?
Yeah, and you can bet your last pennies there were pregnancy chimes. She's got to have five of the things, remember?
Still, Jupiter is the perfect father to allow her to stay a single mother, what with his commitment issues.
