My wife makes the BEST soup. Its not vegetarian though. It is based on the leftovers from our roasted chicken dinners ... and our spice mix for the chicken gives the soup a real zest.

My boyfriend makes me this, and it's kind of the greatest thing ever. I think its traditionally served cold, but I like it warm. I think you can get away with subbing out some of the heavy cream for less this-might-kill-you milk products. And we've never actually bothered to go find white pepper. Fresh ground black works just fine.
