I am still in shock. It really hasn't hit me yet. This morning Emily, a very good friend of mine, told me that she's not going to go to Los Gatos next year, that she is enrolled in Mitty! Tonight I saw the most beautiful falling star. It fell for about 5 seconds then exploded in a rush of purple and pink and yellow and blue all at once! It was stunning.

The rest of my night was sort of inconsequential compared to this :)

...not that I'm sort of obsessed with the stars or anything...

Today has been a wonderful summer day for me. I smell like sunscreen, lotion, lip balm, and chlorine. My hair is crazy curly and my face has an insane amount of freckles. I wake up at the unearthly hour of 5:55. I am picked up at 6 with accompanying music of a very small dog yapping annoyingly. In that small space of time I managed to wash, pick out some nice-ish clothes for church later, do my makeup and eat breakfast. I was speedy to say the least. Now I am babysitting, the kids are asleep, and I'm stuck awake. ( Read more... )

Today has been a day for errands. I'm leaving tomorrow to go on an unknown trip with Katie for the weekend, so I have had lots of things to get done.
