My friend seems to think that fireworks only occur on the 3rd of July... Ummm, what? If they have them on the 3rd they most certainly will have them on the 4th. You know...the ACTUAL holiday! For crying out loud, and there is no persuading her otherwise. Listen to this

There are fireworks today......don't let your friend be crazy. There are ALWAYS fireworks on the 4th of July. I think there would be an outrage if there weren't fireworks on the 4th of July!!!
