So. Yesterday I moved out here to my summer house. For the next five months I will share my life with countless spiders, one bad Internet connection, four lousy t.v. channels, and three very, very happy cats.

The time is about 1am. The house is pretty cold by now even though the weather has been great all day. I am watching a crappy version of

That sounds really nice. It marks a change in the season, in the year. Is your house far from where you usually live? I mean, are you close to the same places, same friends, same daily life?

There is only about 3 miles between my house and the location of my winter residence, so I can easily maintain my usual life. It is a somewhat more primitive way of living, though. But I keep telling myself it is part of the charm.

You are right. I think moving to the house provides a very nice change of scenery. Almost like being re-potted :D
