I just found out that this year's commencement speaker is Bobcat Goldthwait. Beah? Not someone I would select for a formal speaking engagement. But wait, what am I saying? This is Hampshire College! Of COURSE they would choose Bobcat for their commencement speaker. I'm surprised they didn't choose a mime.

A friend of mine turned me onto an awesome learning (or relearning?) tool today. My Japanese reading comprehension has been slowly slipping away ever since I left Japan, oh my god, EIGHT years ago! Since I have started working here, there has been a constant problem in the kitchen having to do with forks. There never seem to be any forks. Yesterday I was at home with the beginnings of the flu. I was pretty miserable all day, then last night I had another bizarre dream. I have just discovered an awesome web feature that I'm sure everyone else has known about for years: Google books! It lets you do a keyword search for books, and lets you preview many pages of the book. Way better than Amazon's crappy viewing function.
