knitting mojo, where have you gone?

i think i have a knitting-specific attention deficit disorder -- i can't seem to focus on any one project long enough to actually finish anything. in my defense, i *have* been doing a lot of spinning lately. that definitely cuts into the knitting time...but still, my UFO pile is getting a bit out of hand. here's what i've got going on the needles at the moment:

• a cardigan for my brother. this should have been finished a long time ago. and it would have been, too -- except that something bizarre happened with my row gauge on the sleeves, and i decided to reknit them. and man. knitting sleeves once is bad enough, but twice is definitely not fun. i'm knitting them both at the same time, and it feels like it's just taking forever. ugh. i'm so ready to be finished with these sleeves.
• socks for aramis. or, actually, just sock for aramis. i've been working on this same sock since before thanksgiving, and then i got distracted. since i started this sock, i have finished two hats (including a very tricky one, worked in brioche stitch with two colors in the round), two baby garments, and most of a sweater (a four-sleeved sweater, even.) i like the yarn, i like the pattern, i like the needles -- but other projects somehow keep cutting in line in front of this poor, neglected sock.
• a super easy, top-down raglan for aramis's niece. she's only two, so it really shouldn't take me more than a couple of weeks to knock this sweater out. and yet...i started it like six weeks ago, and haven't gotten back to it. i even ripped it out once and started again in the next larger size -- which should let you know how optimistic i am about finishing this any time soon.
• we shall not speak of icarus. i'm ashamed to tell you how long it has been since i worked on that one.
• mittens. yes, that's right. last night, in a fit of sleeve-induced mania, i cast on for these mittens. given everything else that's going on at the moment, i doubt i'll have them finished in time to wear this winter. but i *loooooove* them. plus, they have the added benefit of not being sleeves.

now that i think about it, i think it's the sleeves -- or maybe this whole cardigan in general -- that is throwing my mojo all out of whack. if Dude didn't ask me about it every time we talk, i'd just frog the whole thing and bake him cookies or something. but seeing as how he's so excited about it... *sigh* it will be SO good to get it finished.
