THAT's what garlic chives are? whoa.

About a week and a half to two weeks ago, I saw a sad little grassy plant in the garbage at my boyfriend's lab. It was labeled "Garlic Chives." Apparently it had belonged to his lab manager, who had gotten it when IFAS was giving away free "control" plants. I guess she didn't want to take care of it any longer or bother to take it home

Oh, and chives are different?
韭菜is good for making fried eggs/omelette-thingy

Yeah, I was trying to look up all the different onion terms. Apparently, chives are more like scallions, which is another term for green onion. I didn't know there was such variety to the onions used in cooking!

Yes, they are good in scrambled eggs-- especially the flower stalks!
I also really like when my mom makes 韭菜盒子. ^_^
