Personality:
Bartz is the kind of person that is really carefree about the world. It might be because he was a wondered in the world, or because his element is Wind, but he just lets things happen to have fun. He's really easy-going, enjoying all the opportunities to have enjoy himself. At first glance, one can assume that he's just a derp hero without any ambitions.
That's really close to the truth. But he also has a "serious" face that he rarely shows to the world, unless it's truly necessary. It can be to protect a friend, or to fight for the same idea, but Bartz will not waste any time with silly jokes or tricks when the situation calls for it.
But Bartz isn't a stoic face. Oh, no. He's one of the most playful people in the whole group. He never thinks what he's saying or doing, and thanks to that, he causes a lot of trouble. Maybe it's because his immature side that is always outside, however, when he recognizes that part of him is where his true strength appears in his heart.
Since he's one of the good guys, his sense of justice is really strong, and sometimes he will just go and try to stop the bad guy at any cost and without thinking in a good plan besides kicking his ass. With that, he also posses a good heart that he doesn't mind showing to the world. This derp man will go and risk his life to save someone he doesn't even know.
Let's not forget about the fact that he posses the quality of leadership, always encouraging the party when they most need it. He's a man that will always cheer up his friends, making it himself a loyal friend. Usually teasing people and making jokes with everyone, he will never let people be sad if he can avoid it.
Despite that, Bartz himself isn't the brightest man in all the party.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths;
His a loyal friend. Once he becomes friends with someone, he will protect and defend them from everyone no matter what can happen after it. He will even give one of his friends a lucky charm to help them while he's not there.
Bartz is a Mimic, so he can copy some gestures and movements from his friends to attack and defend, as it is shown in Dissidia. He's really skilled in that way to fight, and doesn't mind relying in others to fight.
He's always smiling and happy, and it's rare to see him down. He prefers to be cheerful about it so everybody can be like that at the same time. That includes trying to make Squall smile more. For instance, when he challenges Zidane into a race to see who finds the crystal first.
Let's not forget his physical endurance. He can run long distances without being tired! This can be related that he wandered in the world for three years, in different territories without any problem. Also in Dissidia, he is always running around.
Weaknesses:
Bartz is an idiot. He can be easily tricked to fall into a trap with the proper ways, like when ExDeath tricked him to make Zidane fell into the crystal trap. Usually, he never realizes them unless it's too late.
He says the first thing that comes to his head, and it's not a surprise that he ends acting following his emotions and his brain. This also means that his opinions also looks like a child is making them, but it's because he doesn't think in what he's saying. For example: "Sweet Christmas, it's a talking turtle!"
It's shown that in Final Fantasy V, he is afraid of heights. He will freeze in his place and ask for some help if he finds in that situation.

First Person Sample:
[Okay, this isn't how his world looked like when he was returning to his world. Scratching his head a bit, Bartz looked around confused.]
Man, this cannot be happening again! I mean, they say that the crystals will send us back home. Is this another adventure? Surely it sounds awesome!
[A strange noise coming from his back catches him by surprise.]
Boko?! [Noticing that it wasn't his chocobo, but a Doduo, he pouts a bit. Apparently, the new creature liked the name.] Hey, hey! That's the name of my closest buddy! You can't have it. Also, Boko doesn't have two heads, so it'd be silly to call you by that!
[The not amused Doduo pecks him on his arm.] Hey! That hurts, man! Nobody did tell you about that? Hey, stop that! Fine! You can keep the name. [Sighing a bit, Bartz accepted his defeat.]
Surely this is going to be a funny adventure!
Third Person Sample:
The night in that tent was like any other night. Bartz found himself resting a bit with his Doduo calmly, enjoying taking a break from all the training that they were doing in that day. Surely, it was a tiresome day and the two of them deserved a break. The Warrior of Cosmos looked at the sky, thinking about all the fun they were having in the new world.
Boko, his Doduo, made another sound as if he were hungry. Bartz turned to see him and scratched his head a bit. "Hey, buddy! I did just feed you an hour ago! You can't be hungry again." Bartz replied to his new friend as if he could understand him. Maybe it was because he reminded him of Boko, and after their first meeting ▬and some pecks later▬ he accepted to let him use the name. "No, no! Don't give me that look. You're going to a fat Doduo and the ladies don't like that!"
The Pokemon blinked a bit at that. That was his argument about not giving him food? With another pause, the bird made another sound. When Bartz was about to say something, a wild Rattata decided to attack them in search of food. Standing up in their places, they took the challenge grinning happily. "Sorry, but the food is for us! Boko, let's show him how we roll!" With that cheerful order, Doduo finished off the wild pokemon with a strong attack.
"That's it!" However, when he was about to add something, his doduo was starting to become brighter than before. "What's going on?! Why do you sparkle, buddy?" Soon, Bartz found out the answer when a Dodrio standed in the place where his Doduo was. "Who are you? What did you do with Boko, uh?!" Not realizing what an evolution was, the new pokemon poked him with their heads. "Oh, you gotta be kidding me! Man, is that you, Boko? Surely you become bigger than before!"
Grinning happily, Bartz hugged him when the three heads poked him again. "... Oh, man! I have to feed the three heads now!"
That was something that Boko, the Dodrio, didn't mind.
