“Jesus what are you doing Jung?!"

At the sound of his best friend’s angry voice, YunHo laughed and climbed down the somewhat creaky railings.

“Nothing.” He grinned and slung his arm against YooChun’s shoulder.

It was terrifying, really, to be up there and see how insignificant everything is in life but once you’re up there, feeling like you can fly, it doesn’t really matter.

Yoochun whacked his head. “Don’t do things like that! I swear I won’t live to 30 if you keep scaring me like this!”

YunHo laughed sheepishly and pulled his best friend out of the rooftop. He scared himself too. Sometimes. “Yeah, yeah. Sorry kayh.” He pouted when he stepped on the first stair step. “I’m hungry Chunnie, let’s go eat something!"

Five minutes later, YooChun was screaming at the passenger side - rambling nonsensical things about how he doesn’t want to spend a minute in jail just because he was the unwilling partner in crime of YunHo speeding and how he’d like to get married before he died a horrible death in a car accident - whilst YunHo was enjoying the crazy speed he was going at.

YunHo laughed again as he lowered the window and screamed his lungs out. YooChun was looking at him like he’d lost his mind but Yunho only laughed louder at the sick look on his best friend’s face. He looked like a naked crying mole rat, Yunho thought mindlessly with an increasing volume of laughter.

Seriously, his brain always comes up with random stuff like that. It doesn’t even make sense to YunHo but he doesn’t mind. Very entertaining. It makes life not so boring.

He screamed again. He felt alive. He loves his small hometown. Everything here makes him feel alive.

YunHo was in a daze. A different kind of daze than his usual. Strange.

JunSu nudged YooChun in the ribs. He raised his eyebrows up slightly and gestured to the dazed man.

YooChun grinned and shook his head. “Love,” He muttered to the confused boy. “Love happened.”

YunHo woke up from his habitual daydreaming session at the familiar screeching sound.

“Hyung!” He found JunSu running towards him - it reminds him of a hippo charging forward for some reason and he laughed at the thought - with big excited eyes. He readied himself for the fall and sure enough, the boy jumped. Literally jumped to him. Now with a sore butt and Junsu straddling him, he whined with a big exaggerated pout.

“Junsu!”

“Hyung!” JunSu grinned and YunHo laughed, both hands on JunSu’s waist now.

“JunSu!”

“Hyung!”

“JunSu!”

“Hyung!”

“Jun-“

“That’s it!” YooChun appeared from behind them, glaring in annoyance but they all knew he was amused. He’s always amused with them. “Stop showing me your stupidity! Seriously. I wonder sometimes why I’m even friends with you two.”

JunSu pouted as he got up and pulled YunHo with him. The man was laughing when he pinched JunSu’s chubby cheeks. “Stop pouting, you make me wanna bite you.” He stated with a wink and pinched the boy one last time. “Now tell me what got you so excited my baby JunSu.”

JunSu giggled and pointed to YooChun. “YooChun hyung said you fell in love! Is it true hyung?! Who is it?! Tell me tell me tell me! Please?!” JunSu blinked a couple of times. “Pretty please hyung?”

YunHo mock glared at Yoochun. “Why would you tell him such a lie YooChun?”

JunSu gasped and pointed his finger to YooChun. “You lied?!”

YunHo laughed and quickly make his escape.

“But you did fell in love with that guy, didn’t you? ChangMin’s uncle?” YooChun asked about Young Woon’s brother in law, ChanMmin’s only uncle from his mother’s side who’s in the town for a visit. He was the one who picked up ChangMin yesterday. When YunHo didn’t say a word, he pressed further. “You kept staring at him. Nothing, no one ever fascinates you like that, not that long.”
“He does fascinate me... Does it matter?” YunHo frowned and shrugged. “Is it enough YooChun? Like that? To love?”

YooChun stared. He never really did, understand the man. He's too simple, yet too complicated. “You lost me, like always.”

YunHo laughed. He confused himself too, almost everytime, when he thinks.

“Tell me you’re not in pain because of a new tattoo.” YooChun deadpanned and cursed when YunHo’s grin got wider.

“Where is it this time?”

YunHo pulled his boxers down slightly and revealed a star on his hip bones. It was almost as big as YooChun’s palm. There were five layers of stars - YooChun counted and YunHo confirmed it. “Stars again?”

YunHo nodded, absolutely proud. He has a strange fixation on stars and angel's wings.

Who said a teacher can’t have tattoos? He’ll do anything he wants, he doesn’t care what people say about it. Oh. He do cares, only not much to really care though.

YunHo loves this. He stayed hanging for a quick while before he landed with perfection. The whole town was his playground. And parkour was his game.

“That’s great man!” HanKyung praised as soon as he landed on the ground, just seconds after YunHo.

As usual, YunHo won. It wasn’t a surprise really, not many enjoyed parkour - there’s quite a number who watched though, especially kids and teenagers - and their group who practiced parkour on weekends consists of only seven people. Sad, really. The numbers. But YunHo doesn’t mind. What matters was the joy it brought. Anything to feel alive.

ChanSung soon joined them. “You’re the best dude.”

YunHo grinned and slung his arms on HanKyung and ChansSng. Sandwiched between the two, he sighed. It does feel a bit lonely now though. The rest of the crews were busy with work and family nowadays.

HanKyung stilled. “Race to Uncle Lee’s?”

YunHo nodded. “Loser’s gonna pay for dinner.”

“Agreed!” Suddenly ChanSung broke into a run. “Goodbye losers!” He shouted as he climbed up a wall easily, followed by an amused YunHo and a disgruntled HanKyung.

YunHo was waltzing in the park one Sunday morning when he bumped into someone. “Sorry,” He slapped his own forehead - it was a habit now, because he bumped into people on everyday basis - for getting caught in his nonsensical musing again.

“It’s- Hey, you’re the dance instructor! ChangMin’s teacher right?”

YunHo blinked and take a look at the man. It’s almost been a week since their meeting and YunHo almost forgotten all about him. Almost. He blinked again and a wide smile stretched automatically across his face. “Yeah.”

The man smiled. “Fancy meeting you here.”

“Just walking around, I’m bored. Jogging huh? No wonder you’re fit.” He commented offhandedly, unable to control himself. It’s not like he could, even if he tried his hardest not to be who he is. Whoever he is. He grinned at the jumbled up thought.

“Uh, thank you?”

Perhaps he was delusional but it sounded like ChangMin’s uncle just squeaked his gratitude. Oh, whatever. He’d had enough of scaring the poor guy. He felt bad.

Though YunHo admit he felt sad too, having to say goodbye so soon. He’d like to stare at him longer, if he could. He tilted his head, already decided. “Well. Bye bye ChangMin’s uncle!”

He skipped forward but turned his head when he heard something.

“It’s JaeJoong! I- I’m Kim JaeJoong, YunHo-shi.”

YunHo had a vague idea the image of JaeJoong - with a bashful expression on his face - would haunt him for the rest of his life. It wasn’t such a bad thought however.  This JaeJoong in front of him reminded him of a lone rose petal, fallen but only with a hint of red amongst white. Beautiful. He doesn’t mind keeping it. Really.

“Eh? You know my name?” YunHo whispered to himself. Oh. I am ChangMin's teacher. He looked up.

JaeJoong already turned away. YunHo waved to JaeJoong’s back just because he can. It’s okay. It’s enough, he coaxed himself. Enough of what though? His head throbs at the question.

He really should stop talking to himself.

“Ice-cream!” He yelled in the middle of the park, pleased with himself. Ice-cream will always make people feel better. In truth, ice-cream makes Jung YunHo feel fantastic.

“Woah.” JunSu blinked with awe. “It’s beautiful.”

YunHo ruffled his hair. “I know. He’s more beautiful in person though.”

JunSu stared, blinking a few more times. “It’s a person?” He asked and tilted his head, trying to see from a different angle. Maybe he was looking at it the wrong way?

YunHo laughed.

“It’s just splashes of colours that’s supposed to mean something.” YooChun piped in from his position near the door. “His art never will make any sense to us mere mortals. We can never understand. Stop trying to, JunSu.” He walked into the room, eyes on the painting. “But I agree, it is beautiful. I almost can’t believe that you could actually create something like this.”

“Really?” YunHo asked as he traced the hint of red across the canvas, smiling.

“Who inspired this?”

“JaeJoong,” YunHo simply answered, honest like always. “ChangMin’s uncle from out of town.”

“Who’s that?”

“That, my dear JunSu, is the person who catches the eyes of our beloved Jung YunHo.”

“What?!”

YunHo winced. “JunSu baby, stop screeching.”

“Hyung! Are you going to leave me?” JunSu’s lips trembled.

He’s YunHo’s first cousin. He lost his parents when he was two and had been with the Jungs ever since. When YunHo’s parents died a couple of years later, YunHo was the one who’d taken care of him. He was everything to the boy. And JunSu meant just as much to YunHo as well.

"Aww, my baby JunSu’s gonna cry is he?” YunHo pulled the boy into a hug, squashing him in his embrace because he knew JunSu likes that. “Now tell me JunSu, why would I leave my adorable baby JunSu ever?”

“Because you likes that JaeJoong? He’s not from here, right? What if you want to follow him and leave me all alone here?”

“Who said so? Why would I want to follow him anyway? I have this to keep to remember him. I’ll never leave my baby JunSu, okay?”

“Promise?”

“Yeah, yeah. Promise. Hey, JunSu! YooChun! We’re all free now, right? Wanna go jungle trekking again? It’s been a while you know. Oh, let’s do flying fox too! Or maybe we can go camping for a few days in the wild.”

JunSu paled. Not again.

“Uh-huh, I’m not gonna go through that again. No way Jung! No way!” YooChun shrieked before Junsu could even open his mouth and he could only watch as YooChun practically sprinted out of the room.

“Psh, coward. What’s so scary about living and enjoying life?”

JunSu blinked. What about, everything? He blinked again. “Hyung, all our outings were a mess. You’re never prepared for anything. You just got some ideas all of a sudden and dragged us with you to try all sorts of things unprepared. Of course it’s scary!”

YunHo blinked. Really? He thought everything was fun though. He wanted to try everything because he doesn’t know when he’ll drop dead and if he’ll regret. Oh well.

This is weird, YunHo admitted to himself. He’d been tossing around on his bed for almost two hours now. Why can’t he sleep?

“Hyung...”

YunHo got up and looked down. “Eh, JunSu? Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

JunSu whined. “Hyung! How can I sleep when you’re tossing around like that?”

YunHo grinned in the dimly lit room. “Sorry.”

“… Hyung… What are you thinking about? You know, about ChangMin’s uncle, I won’t mind coz you promised not to leave me, right? If you really like him, you can tell me you know.”

YunHo blinked, absolutely not used to JunSu sounding so… mature. “But I don’t know.” He shrugged as he climbed down his bed and hopped into JunSu’s lower bed. “He’s interesting... But is that it? Is that what love is?”

JunSu bit his lips. “But hyung, you never think of anyone interesting before.”

“True,” YunHo said as he hugged JunSu, JunSu inching closer to his body in reflex. “But that’s because I never see someone like him before.”

“... Don’t you want to know? If you like him or not?”

YunHo shrugged. He’s confused, really. He doesn’t know. He just doesn’t want to ‘pursue’ a man when he’s not even sure. But how to be sure?

"You know hyung," JunSu mumbled sleepily, "You should really just get to know him first. They says love can grow."

“Sir,” ChangMin called, bowing slightly. He was the only one who called YunHo with Sir, the others called him hyung. Some even called him YunHo sometimes because YunHo never really care about honorifics. But the boy ChangMin was really too uptight to allow such thing to happen. So, whatever.

“Yeah?”

“My uncle had to go back yesterday. He was on a standby leave or something. He was called back to fly tomorrow morning. He’s a pilot, if you wanna know. Anyway... He asked me to give you his phone number and email address. He likes you. If you like him too, please, make full use of this. Oh, he's Kim JaeJoong, the one who picked me up two weeks ago.” ChangMin then shoved him a paper and YunHo hazily took it, blinking when ChangMin bowed again and left the room.

Wow. Life rules. Seriously. YunHo grinned and ran to find his phone. Maybe he'll know soon enough. Maybe.

A/N: I don't know where this come from. [dies] Again, I don't do short story, seriously. But this was clouding my head so I have to write it. And please, just google for 'parkour' if you don't know what that's is.
